What is recorded
The probation sits on the employee's record, with each review linked to it.

- On the person: start date, probation date and appraisal date, with job title, department, manager, work location and employment status.
- A review record linked to the person for each probation review: document kind, the objectives and actions you supplied, a probation date and a review date.
- Notes and evidence from the review: files (PDF or Word, up to 10 MB) in the review category, each with notes and dates.
- Follow-up actions with an owner, due date, normal or high priority and notes, completed and reopened by hand.

Probation dates use the same fixed 30-day window as every other date in the workspace.
- A probation date appears on the dashboard and in the daily email digest 30 days before it is due.
- On the day it moves to due today, then to overdue, and stays listed until you change or clear the date, or close the record.
- Review dates and action due dates on the review record are reminded the same way.
- One digest a day per workspace, sent only when something is listed, with up to 25 items in each section.

Start
Sam Sample (fictional) joins Example Dental Practice (fictional) on 5 January 2027. The administrator adds Sam with that start date and a probation date of 5 July 2027, as set out in Sam's written statement.

Reminder
From 5 June 2027, 30 days before, the probation date is listed in the daily digest.

The review
After the meeting the administrator adds a review record under Sam with the objectives discussed, uploads the meeting notes as review evidence and adds an action: booking-system training by 19 July 2027, owned by the practice manager.

Outcome
The administrator records the outcome the practice decided and clears the probation date. Soteriaa does not make or suggest that decision.
