Choosing an approach
Match the method to your research question.
A shortcut to your next document.
Press Alt + Shift + S to open the extension, then press Enter to capture the visible page. On Mac, use Option in place of Alt. Change the shortcut in your browser’s extension settings if it is already in use.
Capture a page or a PDF your browser allows you to capture. For protected pages, upload a screenshot in the web generator instead.
Capture the part you need.
Select a lecture excerpt, table, form or other section. Review and crop your capture before sending it for conversion.
Edit it as a document.
Rebuild text, headings, tables and labelled fields. Add your own notes or change the wording. Copy or download Markdown, Word and PDF directly in the extension. Word and PDF save your edited version first; Markdown remains available offline.
Keep studying.
Bring course material into your revision notes without retyping it. Keep the source reference alongside your notes and check the result against the original, especially figures, equations and unclear text. The output is editable content; it may not reproduce every detail of the page layout.
Install the development preview
- Download and unzip the extension.
- Open Chrome’s Extensions page, enable Developer mode and choose Load unpacked.
- Select the unzipped extension folder.
- Create a connection token in My account with read, edit and generate permissions.
- Paste the token into the extension’s Connection settings and allow access to your Soteriaa website.
One free core product.
The extension and web generator use the same free AI allowance. Screenshot reconstruction currently uses three credits. You do not need a welding or sponsor subscription to use either.
